HURRAY!
We just hit 100 backers strong and we have broke the $1000 to go mark! This is a good place to be and I am very excited. I can see the finish line; it's all downhill like Ents walking south.
For all you backers seeing this, remember that you can add a book, bookmarks, buttons, stickers, and art on if you want to give this just a little bump. You can do this by going into the campaign page and looking for "Add-Ons" and it's just that easy. I have also had folks who want to get another copy of the book and you can do that by kicking up to The Expander package.

Hey Everybody!
We just hit the ONE WEEK TO GO mark and only need $1190, which seems like a drop in the bucket compared to the $6500 goal at the beginning.
With that in mind, I am including a shareable link AND the text to a poem from the book that you can send or post via email, social media, church groups, reading groups, libraries, etc. Feel free to also share any of my Reels, videos, or graphics (or just repost) from anything I've posted on Facebook or Instagram in the last month. I am the most active on those two outlets and Threads.
It is not lost on me the gravity of having right at 100 people get behind this project and this book, and I'm incredibly, immensely GREATFUL! Thank you to so many of you for already sharing, sending encouraging messages, and cheering this thing on. We have one week, and I intend to go out with a bang!

THE DRAGON & HIS MOONS
Like Io and Europa,
stealing past the gas giant dragon
with gaping red eye,
swirling fury and cloud,
enfogging angry smoke
from colossal nostril.
A hardly-slumbering storm
of a world, swells like lungs.
So…slowly…they…creep,
sentry satellites, submissive.
Frightful witnesses in orbital slink.
Churning, you can see Jupiter
breathing to reach
and swallow these

We Have Officially Reached Halfway Through the Campaign

Hello all!
Today marks 15 days in and 15 to go! So far, so good...and we are at 70% funded. I wanted to touch base with everyone to say thanks again for backing this great project and say that the manuscript is currently in the formatting stage and should be off to printing within two weeks! Is this real life?!?!
Also, I have had stickers arrive for the campaign like the JJ Cyborg/Mad Space Poet image you see above...and they look great! I'm starting to get real excited to get all these cool rewards sent out to y'all.
And one more thing: if you are reading this, would you consider posting the link to this Kickstarter campaign with your friends or on your social media channels? You can see fun graphics and posts you could share from my Facebook page "Joshua Michael Brindle" or my Instagram handle @jjbrinski specifically. Just wanted to check in with everyone. We are charging slowly through this "deadzone" period or lull that all my friends have warned and told me about. Everything slows down for a bit and some people forget about the campaign...and that's OK. Steady as she goes (she, being a strong, independent cyborg).
Anyway, I COULD use many more shares and canvasing out there...maybe in non-standard groups, book clubs, a message to a friend, church groups, poetry circles, bookstores...heck I can make a flyer for it to print up if you need! But you have full permission to pass this along to people who may be interested. And remember, this is more than "space poetry." This collection is science fiction, it's short stories, it's worshipful, psalmish at times, and has something for the general reader out there. It is also YA and pretty family friendly. I would say anyone over 10-12 is good to read or hear it's content.

Kickstarter was kind enough to upgrade the While the Morning Stars Sang Together campaign to a #ProjectWeLove which will give us just a little more visibility. This is just another step forward and I am very thankful!
