Exciting news everyone: all the books for the Kickstarter campaign have arrived and we are just days away from shipping stuff out! I have one reward item and mailers I'm waiting on, but hope to have everything in the next 10 days or so. Thank you for your patience, but we are almost there!
As we prep for the shipping, I wanted to let everyone know that you will get an email VERY soon from BackerKit (a third party fulfillment entity) and there will be a simple survey so we can verify items you got through the campaign AND get you address for the shipping. So, be on the lookout for that.
With this BackerKit email, you will gain access to purchasing extra books, NEW stickers, and several of the campaign items that were in the various reward tiers. I have had a few people already asking about grabbing a second book or a third sticker and I can almost not keep up with extra button orders but hey, bring it on!
For you local Marquette and Yooper backers, and yes that is what we are called, I wanted to give you a final reminder that my in-person book launch and poetry reading in TOMORROW night, April 15th in the Community Room at Peter White Public Library. If you haven't already, please send me an email or social media message to let me know you are coming and would like to get your book and goodies.

Hey all you lovely backers, supporters, and friends!
On April 15th, at 6:00pm, I will be hosting a While the Morning Stars Sang Together book launch, poetry reading, book signing, and hangout at the Peter White Public Library here in Marquette. To be specific, it will be in the Community Room downstairs and will last around an hour.
For all you fine folks who supported this campaign, please feel free to call this your invitation to be the first to get your books and rewards! I will be briefly sharing about the book and also sharing a few poems and stories as a formal reading for your listening pleasure. Afterwards, I will be selling some book-related merchandise/knickknacks, and even a few "late-arrival" exclusives that will be fun. On top of all this, I will be thrilled to sign all the books sold or picked up that evening!
Also, there will be snacks and maybe even some coffee or wine.
On top of all this, April is NATIONAL POETRY MONTH, and I'm really happy to get to be involved in some way doing a reading.
If you think that you would like to come that Monday night, please "RSVP" aned send me a message letting me know you would like to pick you book and rewards up.

BOOKS ARE ALREADY ON THEIR WAY!

HELLO EVERYONE!
So I have my author copies of the book and it turned out pretty darn cool. Such a big thanks to Jamin Still and Andrea Renea for their cover design and formatting!
This means that I have already ordered the first couple cases of the book and will order another few cases at the very end of the month. We should be on track for second to third week of April shipping, with arrive hopefully before the end of the month.
I have also partnered with a cool third party site called Backerkit to help with all the awesome goodies and fulfillment and it will act as my email hub for the collection of emails and info from all you fine people AND a webstore portal to grab any extra or later items you may want. I have already had a few folks say they missed the Kickstarter window and they will still be able to get books, stickers, art, and whatever. So be on the lookout for an info-gathering email soon!

You guys have went above and beyond and this Kickstarter is ready to wrap in under a day! Way to go...you all deserve a backslap or a toast. I warmly thank you and pronounce to you glad tidings.
If you happen to know someone who wanted to get in on the campaign or nab a reward, reach out or drop the link to them...but we've exceeded my expectations regardless.
After things are all said and done, I'll reach out with a survey to grab info and start my fulfillment and shipping checklists. We are shooting for books to be printed at the very end of March to early April with SHIPPING in mid-April sometime. Stay tuned!

While the Morning Stars Sang Together is over 100% funded, as I type this. We actually just went over $7000!
Yes, this is crazy. And I could not be more grateful. Thank you to all of you who took time to read or share or post, and also give of your resources to this book and campaign. That makes me feel all the emotions. But oddly, we still have three days left....
So we are doing what the crowdfunding folks call a "stretch goal" for the remainder of the campaign. My goal now is simply to get more folks signed up to preorder the books...and also do something fun. So, I decided to get some printed bookmarks to go with the cover art. I usually make all the bookmarks with my typewriters, but we are gonna try something different.
Here's the artwork. So the stretch goal will be to hit 155 backers, and if we do that, I will give everyone over the second tier a printed bookmark in addition to your reward tier!
But wait, there's more! If you purchased one of the first two tiers, you can still win a fancy bookmark by joining in the "scavenger hunt" for the Title to the second volume of space poetry and stories I will be releasing next year sometime. Included in each book sold in this campaign, will be a playing card or library card or "token" with ONE word from the upcoming title on it. What you have to do is communicate with other backers, find all FIVE words, arrange them into the right sequence, gather pictures of each and DM me or send me an email. The clue for the Title are a couple obscure descriptions used by CS Lewis...and they may have something to do with SPACE.
So go ahead and share or get the word out and let's have fun with the rest of this!
